On September 14, 2016 President Obama signed Executive Order 13739 “Termination of Emergency With Respect to the Situation in or in Relation to Côte d’Ivoire”. The President found that the progress achieved in the stabilization of Côte d’Ivoire merited an end to the economic sanctions levied against it.
